I've read a translation of the changes through google translator. Very cool. The points system should add a pretty cool dimension to the game. Winning by planes is pretty cheesy. I hope it's harder, too i.e. that there are more static planes to destroy.

One thing that is not so good is that the victory is still simple. Either you've won or you haven't. If red destroys almost all resources but also destroy all tanks, then they win though the tanks. So there is no point in destroying anything unless that is what wins the map. And maps won through the destruction of resources are rare, so a smart team should concentrate on one kind of damage and do nothing else. This is a shame. I'd like to see points for partial victories, too.

While I'm dreaming, I'd also like to see more reasons for people to go outside their roles. Fighters never hit ground targets unless they are qualifying, and "fighter-bombers" are not so good. Reserve plane is the stuka, qualifying must be done as 100% bomber, planes are slow, etc. I'd like a reason to carry a bomb in my 190 whenever I'm flying close to targets. Why not? Real fighter-bombers were a revolutionary invention that made a serious difference to the war, but in ADW today there is such a big difference between the fighters and the bombers.

And the hardest thing I'd like to ask for, is for actions to matter, besides just winning the map. 80% of fuel destroyed should mean something right now, not only when it reaches 100%, but I know that this would be very hard to do.

also on wishlist: more tanks and 20mm AAA in columns, more columns, 2 hour long maps. No columns with 95% 37mm AAA (that's just cruel, and they should be eaten alive by the normal tanks).

Kid, tank colomn with 37mm AAA is my favourite breakfast in 1944-1945 when i am on 110 with 37mm gunpod.
For me killing ZSU-37 is much more easy, than Demag Flak (20mm).

About 2 hour missions. It`s impossible: Pilots can destroy too much objects (tanks, supp-colomns, depots, AFs) and our F*cked Generator (EG - in Rus Lang) go crazy to calculate next mission.

Jah: ok. Can you tell us why? Good job so far!

Buch: I'm allowed my opinions. I like ADW, as you can see (I'm here) but I have ideas, as everyone does. If the world though "everything is as it is, because there is a reason" then nothing would ever get done, nothing would improve. I'm just trying to help with input. It's probable that people have already though of these things, but I can't assume that (if we did, nothing would ever be said). These are just things I'd like, not things I MUST HAVE NOW.

Olorin: haha. Ok, I'll fly behind you and hit the second one then :P I still have nightmares of 12 37mm tanks tearing my 110 into very, very small pieces. Which is also fun, sometimes. I like being scared.

What's wrong with the generator?

Generator is the most skilled warrior on this server. Having him on Your side is like having a BFG. Administrators are used to think they know how generator works, but they are wrong. It is a very complicated AI, sometime it finds out, that one AT gun hidden in the bushes can stop any tank army, sometime it puts together 12 flaks (zsu-37 for example) into one tank armade, or 90 tanks into one train car...
How would You call generator after that?

maybe the value of all destroyed resources, ground units and aircraft could be combined at the end of the war and added to the scores for the map wins


about the fighter units not helping with the ground war, maybe a new category could be added that shows ground kills and streaks of the fighter unit pilots. Wings over Europe does it: http://217.117.216.144/woe/?page=home

i always feel a bit sad about the lack of loadouts for the 109F, having to fly the 109E until the Fw190A-4 shows up is a bit hard online even if SchlG1 did it irl but there is nothing we can do about it i guess :cry: but that might add to the problem, at least for blue. the iar is just not good enough to be an alternative, imo.

I like those ideas. Each 100 planes could give 1 point, each million supplies could give 2 points, etc. Or something. Also, it would be nice for the bomber pilots who are very good at shooting from the gunners' seat and positioning their plane for a shit to get some kudos for it as well.

I love my little F4. Yes, it can't load bombs, but with the center-mounted guns I can shoot AAA from much farther away than with any other plane. Also, due to the very weak engine of the 109 (2 hits and it's a matter of time) as well as general structure, I tend to wait for the 190 to really be comfortable as a fighter-bomber.

The server is crazy these days. Every night it seems full!

Hello all - New here so some questions I cannot see any answer:

1. during registration there was only one planeset (A) to select. Now when our squad got some points I see alot more planesets - Can we pick one of them to be our future upgrade path - if yes how ?
2. Will the advanced planes from selected planseset arrive automatically to us when we gain more points?
3. How do reserve planes arrive into AFs - by missions flown or doing something ?

Ok - found out how this is done. First drop current planeset line and the pick up a new one.

However, there where connection problems when I was doing this and it seems that I got the new planeset selected with BF-109F as our plane, but when I now try to our squad administration page I get the planeset selection only with planeset option A. I dont want to go back to planeset "A" with Emils - could it be that there was somesort of data corruption due to connection problems I had while changing this ??

Could someone from Administration look into our squad LeLv8_ settings in database??

Well, GT guys delivered gererator to Alkar Team in binary form, no sources. That's it.

Today from 19:00 GMT+2 (Kiev) till next day ADW will be down for mantienance which addresses urgent fixes in awards and their assigments. If all OK, the war will continue tomorrow, otherwise we will communicate the exact time.
